Position Summary

The Salesforce AI Workflow Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and optimizing business processes that leverage Salesforce, Agentforce, Data Cloud, AI agents, automation, and human collaboration. This role serves as the bridge between business strategy, process design, artificial intelligence, and Salesforce technology, ensuring that work is executed efficiently, securely, and in alignment with organizational goals.

Rather than focusing solely on system configuration, the AI Workflow Architect designs how humans, AI agents, Salesforce, and external systems collaborate to achieve business outcomes across Sales, Service, Marketing, Operations, and Industry-specific workflows.

Key Responsibilities

AI Workflow Design

• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for AI-driven automation.
• Design end-to-end workflows involving human users, AI agents, Salesforce applications, and third-party systems.
• Define agent roles, responsibilities, decision authority, and escalation paths.
• Develop human-in-the-loop processes for critical decisions and approvals.
• Create workflow blueprints and operational models for AI-enabled business functions.

Salesforce & Agentforce Architecture

• Design solutions leveraging:
• Salesforce Platform
• Agentforce
• Data Cloud
• Flow
• Einstein AI

• Ensure workflows align with Salesforce security, data, and governance models.
• Partner with Solution Architects and Technical Architects to implement designs.

AI Governance & Risk Management

• Establish AI governance frameworks.
• Define trust boundaries for AI agents.
• Determine which actions:
• Can be fully automated
• Require human approval
• Must remain human-controlled
• Develop monitoring, auditing, and compliance standards.
• Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and industry requirements.

Business Process Transformation

• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders.
• Document current-state and future-state processes.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Recommend organizational changes to support AI adoption.
• Define measurable business outcomes and KPIs.

Data & Decision Architecture

• Define the data requirements needed to support AI-driven workflows.
• Collaborate with Data Architects on:
• Data quality
• Data governance
• Data Cloud strategy
• Master data management
• Ensure AI agents are grounded in trusted enterprise data.

Change Management & Adoption

• Support AI adoption initiatives.
• Develop operating procedures for human-agent collaboration.
• Educate stakeholders on AI capabilities and limitations.
• Create governance documentation and user guidelines.
• Assist leadership in developing AI operating models.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 7+ years of Salesforce consulting, architecture, business analysis, or digital transformation experience.
• 3+ years designing enterprise business processes.
• Experience with Salesforce Flow and automation.
• Experience leading client workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
• Experience working with executive stakeholders.
