Occupational Therapist

Job Description Job Description Playful Pediatric Therapies is seeking a compassionate, play-based Pediatric Occupational Therapist to support children and families throughout the greater Chicago area, including Downers Grove and surrounding communities. This is a great opportunity for an OT who values relationship-centered care, enjoys working closely with families, and wants the flexibility to help shape and grow a meaningful pediatric practice. About the Role You will provide pediatric occupational therapy services to infants and young children through Early Intervention and private practice settings using a child-led, strengths-based approach. Services may take place in homes, community settings, and occasional in-person group sessions in Downers Grove. We are looking for someone who is warm, collaborative, adaptable, and passionate about helping children build confidence and developmental skills through connection and play. Responsibilities * Provide occupational therapy services for infants, toddlers, and young children in home, community, and clinic-based settings * Create individualized treatment plans based on each child's developmental needs and strengths * Partner closely with families to support progress, routines, and carryover strategies * Maintain timely and accurate documentation * Collaborate with caregivers and other providers as needed * Participate in occasional in-person sessions or groups in the Downers Grove area Qualifications * Licensed Occupational Therapist in Illinois * Reliable transportation for local travel throughout the Chicagoland area * Passion for pediatric therapy and family-centered care * Strong communication and relationship-building skills Preferred but Not Required * Pediatric occupational therapy experience * Early Intervention credentialing * Experience with play-based or neurodiversity-affirming approaches * Familiarity with DIRFloortime® principles Why Join Playful Pediatric Therapies? * Flexible and supportive work environment * Opportunity to help shape and grow a developing pediatric practice * Meaningful, relationship-driven work with children and families * Collaborative, child-centered approach to therapy * Competitive compensation based on experience If you're passionate about helping children thrive through connection, play, and relationship-based care, we'd love to hear from you.
