Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed Emergency Department including 2 trauma bays, 1 seclusion room, and a fast-track clinic area handling ESI 4–5 patients
• Manage a patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics, including minor walk-in cases through trauma stabilization and air transport coordination
• Perform lab draws, IV insertions, and patient monitoring using Meditech EMR
• Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio in a department averaging approximately 70 patients per day
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including ED physicians, mid-level providers, paramedics, ER techs, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy
• Operate and monitor ventilators as needed; participate in trauma and code response alongside on-shift paramedic staff

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel nursing contract completed
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR
• Must meet local area radius requirements for travel contract eligibility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ventilator management in an emergency or critical care setting
• Familiarity with trauma stabilization protocols and air transport coordination
• Prior charge nurse or leadership experience in an emergency department setting
