Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room (ENT / Eye)

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (4x10 Hours, 07:00–17:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and circulating roles in an ambulatory OR setting specializing in ENT and ophthalmology procedures
• Support a wide range of ENT surgeries including endoscopic sinus procedures, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, septoplasty/rhinoplasty, mastoidectomy, radical neck dissection, laryngectomy, and tracheostomy
• Assist with pediatric ENT procedures including myringotomy with tubes and pediatric tonsillectomy/adenoid surgery
• Execute emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, latex allergy management, and malignant hyperthermia response
• Ensure proper specimen handling/labeling and adherence to Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedures
• Float to other area ambulatory surgery centers as needed on a limited basis

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Demonstrated scrub experience in ENT surgery (adult and pediatric)
• Proficiency with ambulatory OR work setting
• Strong emergency management skills: code response, fire safety, latex allergy, and malignant hyperthermia
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system (required)
• Current BLS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in pediatric general OR setting
• Ophthalmology surgical experience including cataract extraction/implant, corneal transplant, glaucoma surgery, vitrectomy, and eye trauma
• Bronchoscopy and endoscopic procedure experience
• Familiarity with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, infection control practices, and laser safety
