Director of Strategic Accounts, North America - General Contractors & Specialty Trades (Remote, US) - LightYX

Manual layout consumes roughly 10% of the construction schedule and 5% of project cost - and on most jobsites it is still done with a tape, a chalk line, and a printed drawing. Every error downstream of it becomes rework, and rework is the quiet margin killer on every large project. That's the problem LightYX solves, with a delivery record on live jobsites to prove it.

LightYX is the BIM-to-field layout layer for construction . BeamerOne projects the coordinated model directly onto the deck at full scale - walls, MEP, penetrations, hangers, embeds - at up to 1/16" accuracy, so crews build on top of the model instead of interpreting it. 7,370 linear feet of curved layout at LaGuardia in six days. 130,000 square feet and 11,200 points at Hoag Hospital in twelve. Ceiling hanger points finished in nine days instead of fifty-nine. DPR Construction, Flintco, Anning-Johnson and Precision Drywall Interiors are running it today.

This is a senior, individual-contributor closing role for someone who already sells at the intersection of construction operations and field technology - not a team to manage, and not a role you grow into. We have early US traction and reference customers you can sell from; your job is to convert that into signed, HQ-level enterprise agreements, with people who already know and trust you. The person who proves the motion will build and lead the US organization - but the first twelve months are yours to close.

What you'll do

• Close. Own signed enterprise agreements with ENR-ranked general contractors and major specialty trades. Your number is contracts and devices deployed, not meetings.
• Sell at headquarters, not at the trailer. Multi-device, multi-project agreements sold to operations leadership - COOs, EVPs of Operations, self-perform leaders - not just one jobsite at a time.
• Bring and activate your network: engage the VDC, innovation, and field-operations leaders you already know, and turn them into pipeline fast.
• Build the business case in the customer's own numbers - crew hours, schedule days, avoided rework - and defend it in front of their finance team.
• Win the field. Convert the general superintendent who has laid out buildings for twenty years with a total station and does not want a startup device on his deck.
• Be the commercial voice of the US market back into product and service.

What you bring

• 5+ years selling directly to US general contractors and/or major specialty subcontractors. This is a hard requirement - selling to owners, developers, architects, or engineering firms does not substitute, and neither does infrastructure or heavy-civil positioning.
• Deals you personally closed at ENR-ranked firms - named, meaningful, verifiable. Net-new logos you opened, not renewals or expansion of an inherited book. This is the heart of the role.
• A current construction rolodex - trusted relationships with operations, VDC, and self-perform leaders who take your call today.
• A record selling physical, leased, or field-deployed systems with an uptime obligation - not seats alone (Trimble, Leica Geosystems, Topcon, Hilti, Dusty Robotics, HP SitePrint, or a national-accounts seat at United Rentals or Sunbelt is exactly the right background).
• Real construction fluency - layout tolerance, sequencing, self-perform economics, VDC-to-field handoff. Credible in a boardroom at 2pm and on a deck at 6am the same day.
• Experience carrying a number somewhere the customer had never heard of the company. No brand, no marketing engine, no SEs - pipeline you created yourself.
• Consultative selling, executive presence, and willingness to travel heavily.

This role is not a fit if your book was renewals and account management, if your numbers were made on inbound pipeline behind a large brand, if you're known on every panel but haven't carried a quota in five years, or if you're looking for a management seat before there's a team. We're hiring one senior closer with the network and field credibility to own this market from day one.
