The Trenton Ironhawks are members of the ECHL and play home games at CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, New Jersey. The Ironhawks are entering their inaugural season in 2026-27 as the ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders and the AHL's Hamilton Hammers. The Ironhawks are bringing professional hockey back to Trenton and are committed to creating an exciting, high-energy game day experience for fans throughout New Jersey and the surrounding region.

We are seeking an energetic, professional, and engaging Public Address Announcer to become the voice of Ironhawks hockey at CURE Insurance Arena. The PA Announcer is a key member of the in-arena entertainment team and is responsible for bringing energy, passion, personality, and professionalism to every home game. The ideal candidate has a strong command of the microphone, excellent timing, clear diction, and the ability to connect to the live crowd while maintaining the appropriate tone for game operations. The right voice will complement the team's music, video, promotions, and entertainment rather than compete with them. A strong understanding of when to bring energy, and when to let the moment speak for itself, is essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the official public address voice for all Ironhawks home games.
• Deliver player introductions, starting lineups, goals, penalties, period announcements, sponsor reads, promotions, and other in-game announcements.
• Create an exciting and energetic atmosphere while maintaining professionalism and clarity.
• Follow the team's game script, production cues, and direction from Ironhawks production staff.
• React appropriately to the flow of the game while maintaining a consistent professional presentation.
• Participate in special events, theme nights, playoff games, community events, and other Ironhawks appearances as needed.
• Maintain a strong understanding of hockey terminology, rules, procedures, and game presentation.
• Represent the Trenton Ironhawks and CURE Insurance Arena in a professional and enthusiastic manner at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

• The ability to take direction and adjust quickly during a live event.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Professionalism, reliability, and punctuality.
• The ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Familiarity with hockey and sports entertainment is strongly preferred.
