Job Description

Step into a rewarding role supporting middle school students as a Special Education Teacher for a self-contained classroom focused on emotional disabilities. This contract opportunity runs from September 14th through December 18th, offering you the chance to make a meaningful impact during the fall semester while working 37.5 hours across 5 days each week. Earn $40 per hour while bringing your expertise to students in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Indiana Special Education Teacher Certification required
Experience working with middle school students preferred
Background managing self-contained classrooms or emotional disabilities caseloads is a plus
Strong skills in classroom management, differentiated instruction, and IEP development
Ability to foster a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Leading a self-contained classroom for students with emotional disabilities
Creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student
Utilizing positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS)
Collaborating with support staff, fellow teachers, and families
Monitoring student progress and adjusting strategies as needed
Adhering to all state, district, and special education compliance requirements
