Position Summary Tulavi Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing team in Los Gatos, California. This position will play a key role in supporting the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance activities, and month-end close process in a dynamic, fast-paced medical device environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative setting, values accuracy and accountability, and enjoys partnering cross-functionally to support business growth. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities. Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting. Monitor spending against budgets and provide financial insights to support decision-making. Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Support external audits and prepare required documentation. Collaborate with Operations, R&D, Commercial, and other business functions to improve processes and reporting capabilities. Assist with audits by preparing supporting schedules, responding to auditor requests, and ensuring documentation is complete. Support financial statement preparation, including footnote disclosures and maintaining audit‑ready workpapers. Conduct sales and use tax state registrations, review customer exemption certificates for accuracy, and ensure timely setup of exemptions in the Avalara tax system alongside sales and use returns. Assist with audits by preparing supporting schedules, responding to auditor requests, and ensuring documentation is complete. Support financial statement preparation, including footnote disclosures and maintaining audit‑ready workpapers. Post and send customer invoices and credit memos daily, review pending sales invoices for accuracy before processing. Assist with ERP system optimization and continuous process improvement initiatives. Partner with Customer Service and Commercial to manage the field stock program by reviewing the status of bill‑only sales orders, monitoring the Pending Customer Purchase Order Tracker, and ensuring the sales team follows all Standard Operating Procedures governing the program. Distribute daily and weekly sales reports to leadership, collaborate with the team to implement future automation initiatives. Maintain accurate and organized financial records and supporting documentation. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong foundational accounting experience, including general ledger management, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries. Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across departments. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred: CPA certification or progress toward CPA. Experience in medical device, life sciences, healthcare, manufacturing, or other regulated industries. Experience supporting audits, compliance activities, and internal controls. Prior senior‑level or lead accounting responsibilities. Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $110,000 – $140,000 annually In accordance with California pay transparency requirements, the reasonably expected salary range for this position is listed above. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, education, and business needs.
