Registered Nurse - Operating Room

$2178.72/week -

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess the needs of surgical patients and develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient.
  
  
• 
  Implement and evaluate the care plan during surgical procedures, making adjustments as necessary to prioritize patient safety.
  
  
• 
  Supervise activity in the operating room, coordinating schedule changes, assembling equipment, and ensuring sterile field integrity.
  
  
• 
  Assist anesthesia providers and monitor sterile field throughout the procedure.
  
  
• 
  Communicate effectively with patients, their families, the surgical team, and other departments to ensure seamless care delivery.
  
  
• 
  Participate in staff development activities, including in-services, educational meetings, and ongoing training to enhance clinical skills and leadership abilities.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Active RN license with at least 2 years of OR experience, including recent travel assignments.
  
  
• 
  Proven expertise in Level 2 Trauma settings, with proficiency in Orthopedic, Vascular, Neuro, General/GYN, and Urology surgeries.
  
  
• 
  Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated ability to supervise OR staff and coordinate multiple stakeholders during surgeries.
  
  
• 
  Valid Michigan RN license, verified through LARA and Nursys.
