Product Marketing Manager - Nutraceuticals

As a Product Marketing Manager (Supplier Relationship Manager) for Univar Solutions Ingredient & Specialties, you will drive the growth and commercial performance of our Nutraceutical product portfolio. You will work closely with key suppliers and internal partners to turn innovative ingredients, supplier capabilities, and market opportunities into compelling solutions that help our customers win. 

This role sits at the intersection of product management, supplier management, marketing, technical expertise, and commercial strategy. You will shape portfolio strategy, develop growth plans, manage supplier relationships, support pricing and profitability, and equip our sales organization with the insights and tools needed to grow the business. 

What you'll do

• Own and develop the Nutraceutical product portfolio across probiotics, actives, amino acids, creatine, botanicals, vitamins, lipids, carotenoids, and cellular health ingredients, identifying opportunities to grow, optimize, or rationalize the portfolio.
• Develop and execute product and supplier growth strategies by application and use case, aligning portfolio priorities with customer needs and market opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with key suppliers, collaborating on joint business plans, forecasting, supply commitments, pricing, rebates, and growth initiatives.
• Own pricing strategy and commercial performance for assigned products, including margin targets, value creation, and monitoring of profitability and pricing performance.
• Partner with Marketing and Technical Marketing to develop market positioning, application stories, campaigns, product launches, and seller-facing tools that differentiate our portfolio.
• Provide the Field Sales organization with market intelligence, product updates, commercial guidance, and supplier training to accelerate customer engagement and sales growth.
• Lead new product and supplier launches, coordinating with Sales, Marketing, Technical, Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure products are ready for market.
• Analyze market, customer, supplier, product, and financial data to identify growth opportunities and develop data-driven business cases and recommendations.
• Partner with Strategic Business Development and suppliers to evaluate new products, technologies, and opportunities, including commercial potential, volume, margin, sourcing, and go-to-market considerations.
• Support portfolio optimization and private-label opportunities by coordinating sourcing, qualification, cost modeling, product positioning, and go-to-market readiness.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, or another relevant technical field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, category management, supplier management, sourcing, sales, or a related commercial role, preferably within nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, food ingredients, or specialty chemicals.
• Strong understanding of the Nutraceutical / dietary supplement industry, including ingredients, applications, formulation considerations, market trends, and customer needs.
• Knowledge of the ingredient distribution business model, including supplier relationships, authorizations, exclusivity, rebates, pricing, and channel management.
• Proven ability to develop and execute commercial growth strategies and translate market opportunities into actionable product and supplier plans.
• Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to use data to evaluate pricing, margins, profitability, working capital, and business opportunities; strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and cross-functional partners, including Sales, Marketing, Technical, Procurement, Finance, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain.
• Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
• Experience supporting product launches, portfolio development, and/or portfolio rationalization in a multi-region or complex business environment.
• Highly organized, commercially minded, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while operating in a dynamic, evolving business environment.
