Respiratory Therapist

Provide specialized respiratory care to adult patients in a critical and emergency setting. Assess, monitor, and treat patients with breathing disorders, ensuring optimal respiratory function and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' respiratory status through clinical assessments and diagnostic tests.
• Administer treatments such as oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and aerosol medications.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust ventilator settings accordingly.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and interventions.
• Comply with hospital policies, protocols, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Maryland or Compact state license as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Possess a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, preferably including adult critical care or emergency department settings.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS.
• Demonstrate proficiency in adult respiratory care procedures and equipment.
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work night shifts consistently and adapt to floating within scope.
