Jackson North Medical Center Department: Central Staffing Address: 160 NW 170th Street, North Miami Beach, Florida, 33169Shift details: Full Time, 8 hour shifts SummaryThe Magnet Program Director is responsible for leading and managing the organization's Magnet Recognition Program, ensuring compliance with the standards set by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The role involves strategic planning, coordination, and execution of initiatives to achieve and maintain Magnet status, promoting excellence in nursing practice and patient care. This role also oversees nursing education team. ResponsibilitiesDevelops and implement strategies to achieve and sustain Magnet Recognition. Leads and coordinates all aspects of the Magnet application, documentation, and site visit processes. Collaborates with senior leadership, nursing management, and interdisciplinary teams to align Magnet principles with organizational goals. Promotes and facilitates continuous quality improvement initiatives within the nursing department. Serves as the primary liaison between the organization and the ANCC. Ensures ongoing compliance with ANCC Magnet standards and requirements. Develops and executes a comprehensive nursing education strategy aligned with the organization's goals. Provides leadership and direction to the nursing education team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Ensures all educational programs comply with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements. Performs all other related job duties as assigned.ExperienceGenerally requires 5 to 7 years of related experience. Leadership experience is required.EducationBachelor's degree in Nursing is required. Master's degree or Doctor's degree preferred.SkillKnowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Skill in monitoring/assessing the performance to make improvements or take corrective action. Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate programs. Ability to establish goals and objectives. Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.CredentialsValid Florida RN license is required.
