Position Details

• Status: Full-time
• Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (May Vary)
• Shift Days: Monday thru Friday
• Location: Tampa, FL - MLK Adult Ortho

The Scheduler is responsible for

• Effectively and efficiently addresses the needs of both internal and external customers when scheduling patients by carefully collecting demographic, insurance, and procedure information.
• Accurately schedule procedures
• Deliver complex clinical examination instructions
• Document patient response to clinical questions
• Keep the patients physician and hospital offices current with information about their scheduled procedures
• Must be familiar with payer guidelines for balancing authorization requirements with scheduled appointment dates.
• Perform general clerical support that includes answering telephones, data entry, communication, and other assigned duties
• Must be flexible and willing to rotate shifts periodically
• Must be able to travel within the BayCare Health System area using personal transportation

Required Education

• High School or Equivalent

Experience

• Required 1 year customer service or
• 1 year healthcare
