Chief Ethics Officer

For our client, we are seeking a Chief Ethics Officer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will support financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a regulated financial services environment. Location: Washington, DC - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $248,100 – $400,000 annually Responsibilities Lead and manage PCAOB's enterprise-wide ethics program Advise Board and senior leadership on ethics issues; establish relevant policies and controls Collaborate with functional areas for proper handling of ethics concerns Oversee response to ethics violations; ensure consistent handling and tracking Identify ethics-related vulnerabilities and promote a culture of ethical behavior Institute effective ethics communication programs, including use of an Ethics Hotline Monitor Ethics Program performance and report findings to leadership Qualifications Bachelor's degree; MBA/master's degree a plus; Juris Doctorate (JD) preferred 15+ years of relevant ethics experience, ideally in regulated environments Experience in implementing successful ethics programs under confidentiality constraints Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and PCAOB ethics code Strong understanding of best practices in ethics and emerging issues Demonstrated executive judgment in complex and sensitive ethical matters Exceptional communication skills for advising senior leaders and external constituencies Benefits Professional development and training opportunities Supportive work environment promoting ethical standards Opportunity to directly impact the organization's integrity and accountability Access to leadership in fostering a culture of ethics and compliance Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
