Obstetric Technician-Riverview-Labor & Delivery-Part Time-Nights-Benefits

Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) seeks an OB Technician to provide patient care, assist in obstetric surgeries, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Focus on safe patient outcomes, communication, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Provide patient care based on physical, psychosocial, education, safety, and related criteria appropriate to patient age. Operate as a Scrub Technician in the Maternity operating room for obstetric cases. Ensure effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment, and critical actions. Maintain ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and other health care team members regarding patient status and rendered care. Take self‑directed initiative to exceed expectations, act preemptively on events, improve performance, and create new opportunities. Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration of patient plans of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitions and continuum of care. Participate in Unit/Department Performance Improvement activities. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. BLS/CPR certification. Certified surgical technician or certified OB Technician. Previous or active OB Technician experience in an acute care setting preferred. Scrub Technician experience in an acute care setting preferred. One year of hospital PCT experience highly preferred. Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, demonstrate accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, and a passion for delivering high‑quality care. Compensation & Benefits Minimum hourly rate of $30.77. Possibility of performance‑based incentives, bonuses, or commissions. Shift differentials for evening, night, or weekend shifts.
