The Company

Emotions in Harmony, Inc (a 501(c)(3) non‑profit organization) serves couples, individuals, and families. Clients are mainly Latinx and/or Spanish‑speaking. They present with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, stress, and depression. We specialize in trauma‑informed care, including support services for children, adolescents, and adults. Many clients have experienced sexual violence or other forms of violence and abuse. Victims of crime are eligible for care, covered by CalVCP.

We are rooted in a strong value of social justice and strive to support a good quality of life for all immigrants. Services for this population also include immigration evaluations. Our main goal is to provide free content to Latino families via podcast and other social media. For more info visit

The Position

Full‑time Spanish‑speaking mental health psychotherapist. 15–20 clients per week. Fewer hours are available upon contact.

Salary

Payment is per hour. You will earn only for face‑to‑face hours. Part‑time or full‑time clinicians also assist in podcast/broadcast production.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate degree in a psychology‑related field from an accredited U.S. college or university.
• Licensed clinician in your field (Ph.D., PsyD, MFT, LPCC, MSW, etc.).
• Oral and written fluency in English and Spanish.
• Minimum two years of direct client experience working with children and families.
• Driver’s license and HR clearance required, including TB test and DOJ LiveScan fingerprint clearance.
• In‑depth knowledge of issues affecting the Latinx community, both immigrant and U.S.‑born.

Job Requirements

• Valid, current, unencumbered license to practice psychotherapy in California at the master’s or doctoral level.
• Provide psychotherapy and services to clients in English and/or Spanish.
• Manage a caseload of 15 to 20 clients per week.
• Minimum commitment of four months; longer commitment preferred.
• Availability evenings until 8:00 p.m. (at least three evenings). No weekend work hours required, but may be offered. Weekday hours flexible. We organize the schedule each week.
• Desire to learn forensic skills to conduct immigration evaluations.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention services as appropriate.
• Deliver comprehensive, individualized case management and coordinate services, resources, and referrals.
• Assist in developing and creating podcasts and videos with psychology‑related topics. Public appearances optional; expected time commitment is 3–5 hours.
• Collaborate with other clinicians and podcast staff to coordinate ethically appropriate, theoretically sound, culturally informed, and holistic interventions.
• Track payments for CalVCP, other insurances, and private pay (training provided).
• Participate in quality improvement committees and other agency meetings as requested.
• Maintain participant records using an electronic health record system or other computer‑based means to complete clinical documentation (provided).
• Meet all HIPAA standards, including protecting PHI.
