Job Title: RN - OR Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute care hospital settings License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: - Minimum of 1 year current hospital acute care experience - Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role Description: We are seeking a Travel RN for the Operating Room. The position is for a day shift, working from 5 AM to 5 PM. The unit consists of 14 operating rooms, including one hybrid cardiovascular operating room. Staff includes approximately 14-16 RNs and 14-16 surgical technologists on day shifts. Patient ratios are generally 1:1. The standard equipment utilized includes Stryker video systems and Meditech for EMR. Typical procedures performed in this unit include angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsies, and orthopedic/spine surgeries. Transplant procedures are not performed. Candidates must have circulating and scrubbing experience. Experience with Meditech is preferred. The work environment values good communication and adaptability to change. On-call responsibilities are scheduled for one day a week and once every six weeks on weekends.
