CERTIFIED SURGICAL TECHNICIAN FIRST ASSIST (CSTFA)- Operating Room (OR)

Responsibilities Certified Surgical Tech First Assist Opportunity – Full‑Time This is a full‑time, 40‑hour a week day shift opportunity. The Certified Surgical Tech First Assistant (CSTFA) assists the surgeon with specific intra‑operative procedures beyond the scope of practice for Certified Surgical Techs without CSTFA education and training. The CSTFA functions interdependently with the surgeon and applies knowledge, skill, and judgment necessary to assist the surgeon in performing a safe operation that yields optimal results for the patient. The CSTFA provides patient care for all ages and may provide leadership and direction to the perioperative team during the perioperative phase as needed. The CSTFA does not concurrently function as the Scrub Tech.
