We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role supports all patient types and requires significant knowledge of Siemens and CT scanners, as well as proficiency in Epic and TerraRecon. The ideal candidate will possess excellent teamwork and communication skills.

About the Facility: This facility is a leading acute-care hospital with 244 licensed beds, including a 16-bed Emergency Department and approximately 20 ICU beds. It offers a range of services including X-Ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine, supported by Radiology Nursing. The facility is TJC Stroke accredited and operates under a radius rule, requiring travelers to have a permanent address at least 50 miles outside of the home unit.

Department Information: The inpatient census is typically at 100% capacity, averaging 224 patients. The CT department performs around 68 studies per day during the week, with fewer on weekends. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required, and first-time travelers are welcome.

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: The department serves Emergency Department, Inpatient, Observation, and Outpatient patients, performing CT-guided invasive procedures and anesthesia cases as needed. Note that cardiac CT imaging is not performed.

Required License and Certifications: Candidates must have ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with an advanced registry in CT, along with BLS certification.

Skills Required:

• Start peripheral IVs
• Venous and arterial phase scanning
• Multi-phase scanning
• Stroke imaging, including Perfusion
• Colorectal studies
• TeraRecon knowledge preferred, but not required

Support within the Department: Guest Services and Transport are available for Inpatient and Observation patients.

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC
• RIS: Epic Radiant
• PACS: Philips iSite
• Department-specific Equipment: 2 CT scanners (Siemens Definition – AS 64, GE VCT 64), Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors

Orientation: Administrative onboarding includes a 1-day overview of Epic, eLearnings, and policy review, followed by 2 days to 1 week of departmental training as needed.

Scheduling: Weekend rotation is required, with call coverage for weekends (2 shifts every 5 weeks). Travelers will work 75% of holidays, and RTO requires manager approval. Current vacancies include FT Thur-Sunday 9p-7a.
