Job Summary
We are seeking dependable and hardworking Moving Helpers for a one-day assignment assisting with college student move-in. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy physical work, can follow directions, and work well in a team environment. No previous moving experience is required—we will provide direction on-site.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport boxes, furniture, and personal belongings safely.
- Assist with packing, organizing, and moving items while preventing damage.
- Follow instructions from the moving supervisor and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Provide courteous and professional customer service to students, families, and staff.
- Work cooperatively with team members to complete move-in activities.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area throughout the shift.
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, carry, push, and pull items throughout the entire shift.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Must successfully pass a 7-year criminal background check.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work the full scheduled shift.
- Moving, warehouse, or general labor experience is a plus, but not required.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and carry boxes, furniture, and other household items.
- Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the day.
- Work both indoors and outdoors as needed.
