ATTENDING PHYSICIAN- POST ACTUTE CARE FULL-TIME STAFF POSITIONThe Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, located in New Hyde Park, NY, is seeking an Attending Physician to join our team of dedicated specialists working in the Medical Department. In this role, you would be responsible for delivering appropriate, compassionate and adequate care to Parker's residents.WORKING AT PARKERThe Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, conveniently located on the Queens-Nassau County border in New Hyde Park, New York, is a non-profit health care facility that offers short term rehabilitation, sub-acute care and nursing home care, as well as community-based health care encompassing home health care, and a hospice program that serves terminally ill patients in their own homes or in nursing facilities, including Parker's nursing home.Quality care means hiring quality people, and Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation has a longstanding reputation for excellence and innovation in resident and patient care.In addition to a friendly, collaborative environment and exciting career-growth opportunities, Parker Jewish Institute also offers these convenience factors:A modern, safe and secure campus conveniently located on the Queens/Nassau County border that is easily accessible by public transportation or autoFree parkingAccessible via public transportation.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:Two (2) or more years of experience as an Attending Physician in a hospital with a geriatric population; or within a nursing home environmentA medical degree from an accredited medical schoolBoard certification (or eligibility) in a primary care specialtyCompletion of residency in Internal MedicineEligibility for hospital admitting privilegesClean and active license to practice medicine in New York StateProficient in SigmaCare or a similar Electronic Medical Record software SUMMARY:This position is a key clinical leadership role within the organization, with the ability to make an impact and offers a significant personal and professional opportunity to join a world-renowned health care organization.
