About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience License: Permanent nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS preferred, RNFA and CNOR a plus Must-Have: Proficient in open-heart cases, valves, bypass, and vascular cases Description: Circulate only, no scrub required. Must be comfortable circulating all vascular cases including hybrid cases. Experience in handling cases ranging from carotids to Fem-Fem bypass and AAA is necessary. Nurses will assist in setting up all lines and drips needed by anesthesia. Nurses will work 4 ten-hour day shifts. Rotating weekday night and weekend call is required. Weekend call includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. One day of call during the week and every 4th to 5th weekend. CVOR nurses will back up general nursing staff on call and vice versa. Previous charge experience is a plus. Patient ratio experience is 1:1. Experience with the Epic charting system is required. Community hospital experience and LTAC experience are preferred. Trauma Level I and II experience is a plus. Travel experience is required. Skills in cardiac monitoring and conscious sedation monitoring are necessary. Experience scrubbing various surgical procedures, including cardiovascular, general, and other specialty surgeries, is beneficial. Nominal weekend coverage is required with two pre-approved time off requests. Interdisciplinary support is available, including services for respiratory and rapid response. Daily census averages 45 with 18 operating rooms available. RTO is limited during the holiday season; holiday rotation requires working every other weekend. Permanent license in-hand is required with submission; temporary licenses are not accepted. Modules are required and will be non-billable, averaging 4 hours completed pre-start.
