This role places you on the front lines of student support, collaborating with dedicated educators and using your expertise to nurture student well-being and success. You'll champion mental health, intervene with effective strategies, and connect resources to those who need them most.

Desired experience and qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Current licensure as a school social worker or eligibility for licensure
• Professional experience within K-12 settings preferred
• Ability to assess social and emotional needs of students
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with school teams, families, and outside agencies
• Understanding of educational, behavioral, and crisis intervention best practices
• Compassionate, culturally responsive approach to student needs
• Skilled in managing confidential information with sensitivity and professionalism

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
• Develop and implement intervention plans, collaborating with teachers, administrators, and specialists
• Provide crisis intervention and short-term support as needed
• Advocate for students’ needs by connecting families to community resources and services
• Facilitate educational workshops for staff and families on relevant social-emotional topics
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and regulatory requirements
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and individualized education program (IEP) planning
• Serve as a resource on topics including bullying prevention, attendance, and child welfare
