This position calls for exceptional leadership to promote company culture, achieve targeted results, ensure exceptional pet parent service, and facilitate effective daily operations while embodying the company's vision, mission, values, and strategy. Key Responsibilities People Leadership: Make crucial employment decisions including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, coaching, and termination. Foster an open-door culture by engaging and listening to associates; utilize feedback tools effectively. Create and manage the store schedule based on input from the leadership team. Facilitate the associate experience and developmental programs, encompassing reviews, mentoring, training, and career planning. Delegate tasks efficiently and empower associates to achieve their full potential. Communicate essential information to associates and reassess team priorities to meet goals. Enhancing Store Experience: Lead initiatives to ensure a safe environment for associates and pets, enhancing the overall pet parent experience. Address and resolve escalated concerns from pet parents professionally. Maintain high store standards, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and ethical practices. Promote community engagement through in-store events and partnerships with local organizations. Conduct regular assessments of store operations to identify areas for improvement. Business Management: Implement corporate strategies and achieve financial goals by adhering to company directives. Analyze store performance data and communicate outcomes to team members, creating improvement plans where necessary. Monitor expenses and manage store metrics to meet labor and supply budgets. Execute all necessary reporting and paperwork as required by the company. Qualifications 4-6 years of leadership experience in retail or customer‑focused roles. Available to work full-time, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Proficient in computer applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain composure. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be able to stand, walk, climb ladders, and use hands for various tasks. Regular lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds, occasionally exceeding 100 pounds with team assistance. Exposure to pet hair and the sounds of a busy retail environment is common.
