Maintenance Technician - L2Pay Rate: $28-31/HR on W2 Hours: Initial training 2 weeks M-F 6am - 2:30pm then move to regular shift 5pm - 5:30am 12 hr shifts Sun - Tues every other Saturday Location: 2427 West Hillcrest, Newbury Park CAOverview of Work Environment/Client Nuances: Semi-conductor manufacturing facility - Arsenic rich - PPE will be provided and required - 2 sensitive areas Close Fabrication Labs - including clean room 5 buildings spread across 3 blocks - Candidate will train to use a golf cart to go from building to buildingTeam Overview: Candidate will be working with a partnerTypical Working Day: Equipment checks Building checks Work order management Environmental checks - Temperature - Humidity Pressures/differentials Sampling tools Safety Checks Mechanical/HVAC trouble-shootingLicenses/Certifications: None required but preferred: OSHA 10/30 EPA 608Must Have Skills: Basic HVAC experience Mechanical experience Basic electrical Basic plumbingNice to have skills: Manufacturing experience Understands the importance of supporting a 24 hr manufacturing facility Understanding of hazardous materialsSoft Skills: Good verbal communication skills Team working skillsYears of Experience: 2-4 years experience Education h.s. diploma or GED, trade school preferred Software skills: Basic computer skills Work order management experienceInterview Process: 1 round virtual (Teams) 1 round in-person with site tourAbout the Role: As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.What You'll Do: Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems. Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs. Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems. Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion. Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently. Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner. Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail. Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.What You'll Need: High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-4 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work. Communication skills to exchange straightforward information. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
