Job Summary:
The Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A) provides essential support to residents in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities, assisting with daily activities and contributing to personalized care plans. The role involves direct resident interaction, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity in a compassionate environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and ambulation.
• Take initial vital signs and report measurements promptly to nursing staff.
• Monitor and record resident intake and output accurately following established protocols.
• Uphold resident privacy, confidentiality, and rights at all times.
• Support the orientation of residents and their families to the facility and available services.
• Follow universal precautions and infection control procedures consistently.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Maine C.N.A License.
• Demonstrate effective listening and communication skills.
• Show empathy and compassion when providing resident care.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to facility policies.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
• Capable of adapting to varying patient needs and staffing requirements.
