About the Role

The Company is in search of an Associate General Counsel to lead its legal and compliance team, with a focus on overseeing contractual affairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing the contracting process. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to offer expert legal guidance on a range of matters, including but not limited to, HIPAA, TEPCA, privacy, and intellectual property. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare and technology, particularly in the areas of healthcare data privacy, clinical data acquisition, interoperability, and emerging technology governance. Applicants for the Associate General Counsel position at the company should be members of the State Bar in good standing, with at least 10 years of experience in a senior in-house legal role, preferably in healthcare technology or data commercialization. The role demands a professional with in-depth knowledge of legal areas relevant to the position and a proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships. The candidate should be adept at negotiating and managing complex contracts, and have experience in areas such as AI and emerging technology governance, and data licensing and commercialization agreements. Strong business acumen, the ability to influence decision-making, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to legal strategies are essential.
