Automotive Service Advisor

Our Sales & Service Advisors act as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. This role is pivotal in ensuring customer satisfaction by accurately understanding customer needs, recommending services and repairs, and providing detailed explanations of work performed and associated costs. The advisor facilitates a smooth service experience by coordinating with technicians, managing service schedules, and following up on the progress of repairs or maintenance. The role demands a balance between technical understanding and the ability to communicate effectively. Responsibilities Perform all duties and skills of a Sales & Service Advisor Understand the skills and processes of Service Technician (Retail & Commercial) Conduct in-depth conversations with customers to identify tire and mechanical needs Document customer concerns and collect relevant information Recommend services based on vehicle condition and customer concerns Provide clear explanations of recommended tires and services, including costs and timeframes Provide accurate cost estimates for proposed tires and services Schedule tires and mechanical service Communicate with service technicians and customers at a higher level Suggest preventive maintenance services and recommend additional services when appropriate Educate customers about the importance of routine maintenance Order necessary tires and parts for customers Understand inventory and ensure availability of required tires and parts Educate customers on best practices and answer questions Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent Technical or vocational training in automotive repair, tire technology, or related field (plus) Willingness to pursue continued training related to duties Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record Prior experience in a customer service role, ideally within automotive or related industry Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance and repair procedures Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong focus on delivering high-quality customer service, listening to customer needs, empathizing, ensuring positive experience Ability to manage multiple tasks and appointments efficiently, maintaining accurate records and schedules Proficiency in computer systems, including POS, appointment scheduling software, Microsoft Office Ability to upsell services and products based on vehicle condition and customer needs Benefits Excellent training and career advancement opportunities Medical, life, and accidental benefits after 60 days Competitive wages Simple IRA savings plan with company match Employee discounts Health insurance Paid time off Stable working hours Compensation $15.00 - $20.00 per hour #J-18808-Ljbffr
