Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge to coordinate and perform hands on acute patient care at the bedside. Position Specifics: o Department: Transfer Center o Core Function: Nursing o Schedule: Evenings, 36 hrs/wk, 11:00 to 23:00, variable o Facility: St John’s Hospital o Location: Springfield, IL Registered Nurses (RNs) in the Critical Care setting are incredibly important members of the medical team who have the humbling task of caring for our sickest and most vulnerable patients. RNs not only provide high-quality medical care, but they also provide a healing touch and a compassionate presence to patients and their families during joyful, stressful and uncertain times. This position is responsible for the coordination of patients through the state-wide Transfer Center. Working with physicians and applying clinical judgement to facilitate the management, placement, and transport of patients throughout the state to Sister Hospitals or facilities that can provide the proper level of care and specialty for the individual needs of each patient. **Education Qualifications*** Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.**Experience Qualifications*** 3 years recent clinical experience in acute care is required.* Critical care experience is preferred.**Certifications, Licenses and Registrations*** Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice is required.
