Qualifications:

Ability to read and follow instructions; some knowledge and experience with cleaning equipment (vacuums, buffers, wet/dry vacuum, snow blower, lawn mower, etc) and cleaning materials; posses neat work habits; is polite and courteous to older adults; is a team worker; is willing to learn new skills.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year experience, high school diploma/GED.

Responsibilities :

1. Maintains cleanliness of grounds, lawns, lobby, corridors, community and office space, stairwells, etc.
2. Cleans windows, carpets and floors as scheduled.
3. Make minor repairs and replacements - (e.g. bulbs, minor electrical and plumbing chores)
4. Reports all maintenance problems to Superintendent.
5. Maintains compactor trash and garbage removal.
6. Water shrubs; lawns as needed; snow removal, places skirts in elevators for move-ins and outs.
7. Performs other tasks in keeping the requirements of cleanliness and sound maintenance procedures as determined by the building Superintendent.
8. Clean all equipment utilized in performing work, immediately after use.
9. Sets up chairs, tables, etc. for meeting and program functions.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands as described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

1. Must have full use of hands, arms to perform tasks.
2. Able to move equipment which would include significant pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting.
3. Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
4. Able to walk quickly to/from job locations
5. Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and sometimes up to 100 pounds with assistance.
6. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
7. Able to read and understand task checklists.
8. Able to speak to give other employees and guests verbal instructions.
9. Able to perform work duties outside in varying weather conditions prevalent at the time including snow removal.
