Mechanical Engineer Intern
Piping Rock is searching for a Mechanical Engineer Intern. Under the direction of the Sr. Plant Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Engineer intern will support a variety of projects and should have a strong familiarity in mechanical drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Develop AutoCAD files from parts, sketches or brief verbal instructions
- Develop AutoCAD files related to block diagrams for either existing or new facilities
- AutoCAD drawings for different mechanical parts or systems
- Be able to Organize and save all the files in a logical way for future reference
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (junior or senior year preferred)
- Experience in drawing mechanical parts
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar software
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills
- Strong quantitative ability interpersonal communication and organization skills
- Must be able to work part time 2-3 days in office
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
