Physical Therapist Assistant

Overview Perform treatments and provide exercise instruction and demonstration for patients according to physical therapy principles under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Document treatment results accurately and in compliance with department procedures. Utilize equipment and technology to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Essential Functions Care Processes: Treat patients and families with compassion, implement plan of care, monitor and document patient response, establish rapport, adapt communication style, respond to patient needs, recognize age‑specific responses, provide effective interventions, respect confidentiality, support social, spiritual, and cultural needs, manage difficult or emotional situations. Documentation: Submit required information and data in a timely manner. Use correct terminology and adhere to style and format guidelines. Additional Duties Adhere to hospital attendance and punctuality guidelines. Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with core values, mission, and vision. Complete departmental policies and procedures. Maintain current knowledge through self‑education and ongoing programs. Attend staff meetings and complete mandatory in‑services, competency evaluations on time. Wear protective clothing and equipment as appropriate. Qualifications Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (2 years required). Work Experience 0‑1 year clinical or medical setting experience (preferred). Required Certifications / Licensure Basic Life Support (BLS). Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) certification. #J-18808-Ljbffr
