Seeking a dedicated professional to step into a rewarding, part-time contract role supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). In this essential position, you’ll work with young learners (K-5), providing services that help shape communication skills and foster confidence in a primary school setting. Your contribution will create a positive impact on students’ academic and social success.
Key qualifications:
- Active South Carolina SLPA or SLP license required
- Valid South Carolina SLP educator certification
- Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff and parents
- Commitment to providing compassionate, student-centered care
Primary responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services to students in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and allied professionals in supporting student goals
- Monitor student progress, document sessions, and complete necessary reports
- Assist with implementation of therapy plans developed by supervising SLP
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for student success
- Support communication needs throughout the school day in various settings
