James Island ER Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN

HCA Healthcare is seeking a dedicated James Island ER Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will blend hands-on emergency nursing with clinical leadership to support high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency room environment. As a key member of the James Island ER team, you will coordinate daily clinical operations, promote efficient patient flow, and serve as a resource and role model for nursing staff while embodying HCA Healthcare’s values of compassion, integrity, and teamwork.

The ER Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN provides expert emergency nursing care, including rapid assessment, triage, and stabilization of patients across the lifespan with a wide range of acute and critical conditions. You will collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans, administer medications, perform interventions, and continuously evaluate patient responses. You will also help manage throughput by supporting admission, transfer, and discharge processes to ensure timely, safe transitions of care.

In addition to direct patient care, you will assume a visible leadership role on the unit, assisting with staff assignments, acting as a clinical resource, and promoting adherence to evidence-based protocols and hospital policies. You will help foster a positive, team-oriented culture by mentoring newer staff, supporting ongoing education, and encouraging open communication among nurses, physicians, and support personnel. You will participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives focused on patient safety, clinical outcomes, and patient experience, and you will contribute to maintaining regulatory and accreditation standards within the ER.

This on-site position requires flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of the emergency department.
