CT Technologist

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) equipment. This role ensures high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis while prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and adherence to radiation safety protocols. The CT Technologist collaborates with radiologists, physicians, and the healthcare team to deliver excellent patient care. Key Responsibilities Operate CT imaging equipment to perform diagnostic scans according to physician orders. Position patients accurately to ensure optimal imaging results while minimizing radiation exposure. Review images for quality and clarity, and escalate any concerns to radiologists as needed. Maintain patient records, documenting procedures, observations, and any adverse events. Follow strict radiation safety and infection control protocols at all times. Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment, coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance as required. Educate patients about procedures, including preparation and post-scan instructions. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient workflow and patient-centered care. Required Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in CT or eligibility for certification. Proven experience operating CT scanners in a clinical setting. Knowledge of CT imaging protocols, anatomy, and patient positioning. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation. Excellent communication and patient care skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in specialized CT procedures (e.g., cardiac, vascular, or trauma imaging). Experience with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and other imaging software. Certifications ARRT Certification in Radiologic Technology.
