DIGITAL SALES
The Gettysburg Times is hiring a commissioned digital advertising sales representative to join our remote team. This is a W-9 independent contractor role with leads provided. The ideal candidate will be experienced at building relationships with businesses, driving online revenue, and converting digital opportunities into closed sales. Main duties and expectations:
- Lead qualification and follow-up: Review and prioritize provided leads, promptly contact prospective advertisers by phone and email, and qualify opportunities by identifying needs, budgets, objectives, and timelines.
- Pipeline management: Use our CRM to log activity, manage opportunities, maintain accurate forecasts, and ensure timely follow-through to move prospects through the funnel to close.
- Digital sales initiatives: Present tailored digital advertising solutions (display, native content, sponsored emails, social amplification) that align with client goals and demonstrate measurable ROI.
- Analytics and reporting: Use analytics tools and CRM reports to monitor lead flow, conversion rates, revenue trends, and campaign performance. Provide insights and recommendations to improve processes and increase online revenue.
- Collaboration and process improvement: Work closely with editorial, production, and marketing teams to develop proposals, deliver creative assets, and ensure campaign success. Recommend workflow changes that boost efficiency and revenue.
Qualifications: Proven digital advertising or media sales experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, comfort with CRMs and analytics, self-motivation in a remote environment, and a track record of meeting revenue targets. Organized, proactive, and customer-focused candidates will excel.
Compensation & schedule: Commission-based compensation paid as a W-9 contractor. Schedule is remote and flexible; occasional local meetings may be required. Leads will be provided, but independent prospecting is expected.
