This is a 91-day travel assignment ending January 9, 2027.Highlights:Work in a beautiful mountain community at nearly 6,200 feet above sea level on the south shore of Lake Tahoe8-bed unit with approximately 300 births per year; no deliveries before 35 weeks gestationFull-scope perinatal nursing: pre-labor/triage, delivery, postpartum, and nursery care with training provided in lactation and nursery skillsCare for high-risk patients including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and twin pregnanciesIndependent practice environment with 3 RNs always staffed; RN provides autonomous care during nights and weekendsAttend cesarean sections and recover both mother and baby; significant neonatal resuscitation experience requiredRequirements:Current California RN license in good standingMinimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required; 5+ years preferredBLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications required (NCC or AWHONN accepted)STABLE certification preferred or must complete upon hireCompletion of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferredSignificant neonatal resuscitation experience essentialProficiency with electronic medical record documentationWhy Join Us?This travel assignment offers the opportunity to practice full-scope perinatal nursing in a stunning mountain setting while developing advanced clinical skills in an autonomous practice environment.
