Christ House opened in December 1985 as the first 24-hour residential medical facility for homeless persons in the United States. Today, Christ House is the largest facility of its kind in Washington, DC. Since our inception, we have had over 10,000 patient admissions. Job Description Christ House, a 24-hour short-term medical respite facility for men who are experiencing homelessness in Washington, DC is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN). For over 40 years, Christ House has provided comprehensive care to patients coming from area hospitals, shelters, clinics, and medical outreach initiatives. Patients have a variety of chronic and acute illnesses and injuries including diabetes, hypertension, stroke, amputation, HIV/AIDS, liver disease, cancer, fractures, and wounds. This position offers an incredible opportunity to work alongside a dedicated staff who provide holistic services and promote healing for our patients. Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Nurse provides holistic nursing support, patient care, and medication management. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, licensed in DC as a Registered Nurse (RN), current CPR certification Preferred: 2 years' experience in acute care setting preferred Paid vacation,sick and holiday leave.
