Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking a Senior System Administrator to manage, secure, and maintain enterprise systems supporting federal operations. This role requires expertise in system configuration, patching, monitoring, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management. US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance are required.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Serve as the O&M Lead, overseeing day‑to‑day operations, scheduled maintenance, and lifecycle management activities across multiple enterprise environments.

• Lead system maintenance and patching cycles, ensuring systems remain secure, compliant, and fully operational.

• Manage system configurations, access controls, and security settings to maintain system availability and operational integrity.

• Provide technical leadership to junior administrators and operational support staff, establishing best practices and ensuring repeatable, compliant processes.

• Monitor enterprise systems for performance, capacity, and availability; identify and resolve system issues through root‑cause analysis.

• Support modernization initiatives, system upgrades, and integration efforts with engineering, cybersecurity, and application teams.

• Maintain detailed system documentation, including configuration baselines, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guides, and O&M artifacts.

• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and RMF‑aligned security controls.

• Support incident response, escalation handling, and corrective action planning to ensure operational continuity.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

• Security+ certification (LCAT requirement).

• Minimum 6+ years administering large or complex enterprise systems (LCAT requirement).

• Proven experience in maintenance, patching, and O&M leadership roles for enterprise systems.

• Strong understanding of system monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and operational best practices.

• Experience with system hardening, access management, and compliance-driven environments.

• Experience leading O&M teams or serving as a technical lead.

• Familiarity with NIST, FISMA, and vulnerability management processes.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.
