Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough intake assessments to evaluate patients’ mental health needs, focusing on trauma and related emotional concerns.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at addressing each patient’s unique challenges and implementing effective coping strategies.
  • Provide consistent follow-up sessions, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans based on the evolving needs of the patient.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers and medical professionals, to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma-informed care practices and coping mechanisms that foster resilience and healing.
  • Stay abreast of latest research, trends, and best practices in mental health by engaging in continuing education courses and professional development.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, EMR systems, and other tools to document patient interactions and treatment plans efficiently.
  • Support administrative initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinic processes and patient care frameworks.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be primarily focused on patients with trauma-related injuries, including those facing emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges due to adverse experiences. Your expertise will help guide these individuals toward recovery, equipping them with the tools necessary to manage their mental health and achieve personal goals. With approximately three years of experience, you will become a crucial support system for patients navigating their mental health journeys.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.
  • A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.
  • At least three years of professional experience working with trauma patients.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with EMR systems is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaborations with patients and other healthcare providers.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar patient management software.
  • Familiarity with trauma-focused therapeutic modalities and strategies.
  • Proven track record of developing successful treatment plans and interventions tailored to individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits
