Quality Assurance Engineer

Salary: $72,570 - 101,921.76 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in engineering or a similar technical field.
• 3–5 years of progressive quality engineering experience focused on manufacturing quality in the electrical industry or a related field.
• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Experience contributing to quality-improvement projects and resolving quality problems.
• Knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001.
• Some experience with process analytics and broad knowledge of quality tools and industry metrics.
• Ability to promote continuous improvement and innovation in quality.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented, analytical approach and strong problem-solving skills.
• Interpersonal skills to build trust, resolve conflict, and foster collaboration with a diverse range of people.
• Strong written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and gain their support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills, and experience using Power BI.
• Preferred: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
• Preferred: Masters degree in engineering or a related field.

• Establish and maintain quality-control systems to ensure products meet required specifications.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve manufacturing quality issues using root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Audit manufacturing processes to check compliance with established standards.
• Support customer-escape containment and resolution by gathering data, analyzing defects, and contributing to corrective actions as part of a team.
• Participate in cost-of-poor-quality reduction and production-stop activities, supporting root-cause analysis and approved corrective measures.
• Help verify prints and acceptance criteria, and contribute to defect identification, disposition, and deviation processes in accordance with quality protocols.
• Support operations and collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Help resolve complex quality issues using advanced problem-solving tools to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Use quality feedback and metrics to identify design and process improvement opportunities, and share findings with leaders and other stakeholders.
• Support other quality engineers, help establish standards, and encourage continuous learning and professional growth across the quality engineering team.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, and recommend improvements to leadership.
• Follow applicable company policies and rules.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance; attend meetings as requested; communicate effectively and respectfully; and take on other assigned responsibilities.
