Overview Physical Therapist | Acute Care & Swing Bed | Summerville SC | PSLF + $5K Sign-On Nealy Pierce is partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit hospital system in the Summerville, SC area to hire a full-time Acute Care and Swing Bed Physical Therapist (PT). This is a permanent, W-2 inpatient hospital role with a collaborative therapy team and a modern clinical environment. New graduate physical therapists are welcomed and supported with mentorship. Why This Inpatient PT Role Stands Out Hospital-based inpatient role — mix of acute care and swing bed (post-acute rehab in a hospital bed) PSLF eligible (Public Service Loan Forgiveness) — nonprofit hospital system Caseload of 7 to 11 patients per day with 30 to 45 minute treatment sessions Low productivity expectations — approximately 2 units per hour, one of the lowest in hospital PT Diverse patient population : debility, COPD, CHF, stroke, and orthopedic post-surgical Recently updated hospital with a modern ICU and strong interdisciplinary support Collaborative 15-member therapy team floating between acute and swing bed as needed Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with 1-hour lunch No weekends mentioned in the current rotation Compensation & Benefits $5,000 sign-on bonus Student loan repayment program available PSLF eligible through nonprofit hospital employer Up to $500/year CEU support License fee reimbursement Relocation assistance available 20 days PTO Full health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits Ideal Candidate DPT or MPT from an accredited program Active or pending South Carolina PT license New graduate physical therapists welcome (mentorship and team-based support provided) Experienced acute care or inpatient PTs strongly encouraged to apply Flexible, team-oriented, and comfortable working across levels of care Collaborative personality with a patient-centered mindset About Summerville, SC Summerville is one of the fastest-growing suburbs of Charleston, about 25 to 30 minutes from downtown Charleston.
