Southeast freight stability and consistent route planning help CDL-A drivers maintain steady miles while getting home weekly in this position with Jamie Tharpe Trucking.
Drivers earn $1,450 to $1,650 per week while hauling 100% no-touch dry van freight, with 90% drop and hook. Most routes run East of I-35, with occasional runs outside the region based on customer needs.
Position Description:
• Average 2,500 to 3,000 miles per week
• Weekly home time with a 34–48 hour reset
• Support team available 24/7
Drivers operate high-quality, late-model tractors with an inverter and refrigerator provided. Additional perks include referral bonus opportunities, layover and detention pay, a rider policy, and Qualcomm Elogs.
To Qualify:
3 to 6 months of tractor trailer experience in the last year or 1 year of tractor trailer experience within the last 3 years is required. Drivers must have a valid CDL-A license and current medical card. Clearinghouse should be free of any violations, and 12 months of safe driving are required for a safety termination.
Job Duties for this CDL-A Driver Position:
This OTR position runs primarily East of I-35 with occasional runs outside the region based on customer needs. Loads are planned to keep miles consistent while supporting weekly home time.
Onboarding Process for CDL-A Driver:
Remote orientation is provided, with the physical completed near home before truck pickup. After orientation, drivers are routed to the nearest terminal for truck assignment.

• $200 onboarding pay
