Responsibilities:

• Develop and review electrical schematics, layouts, and system drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support the full lifecycle of electrical systems from conceptual design through construction and commissioning phases.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure electrical designs are manufacturable and practical for construction.
• Review vendor drawings to confirm alignment with project specifications and industry standards.
• Assist in developing build strategies, module breakdowns, and installation planning to optimize construction workflows.
• Provide field support during vessel construction and commissioning to address electrical system challenges.
• Review purchase orders and aid in procurement processes for electrical equipment, ensuring specifications are met.
• Ensure all electrical systems and components meet ABS, USCG, and pertinent industry standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Marine, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 to 15 years of maritime or shipyard electrical engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of shipboard electrical systems and design principles.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, ShipConstructor, or comparable design tools.
• Ability to interpret and apply ABS / USCG regulations effectively.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, capable of working collaboratively across teams.

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with machinery control and monitoring systems.
• Experience with power distribution and control systems.
• Knowledge of cable routing, penetration design, and system integration.
• Hands-on experience working directly with shipyard production teams.
