Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, supervising ancillary staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The role emphasizes patient safety, safety awareness, and patient education, with a focus on maintaining a safe environment for both patients and staff.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, a minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience, and experience in stepdown, ICU, or long-term acute care (LTAC) settings.
• Preferred Qualifications: No additional preferred qualifications provided.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Performs comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develops individualized care plans, and initiates discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission. Maintains accurate documentation, supports continuity of care through effective communication, and participates actively in team-building activities to foster a positive work environment. Assumes charge nurse responsibilities after orientation and engages in ongoing professional development.
