Food Service Cook/Baker

The Baldwin Park Unified School District, under general supervision, is recruiting for Food Service Cook/Baker. The Food Services Cook/Baker is under the general supervision, to perform the major cooking and baking duties in the high school cafeteria, including maintaining food services facilities, and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition. The employee will also instruct and direct assigned assistants to do related work as may be required. For a full description of the classification, please review the job description. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Knowledge and Abilities: Appropriate and correct methods for preparing, cooking, baking, and serving foods in large quantities Care and use of food service equipment Sanitation and safety procedures relating to food preparation, service, and storage Methods for computing food quantities required for prescribed menus Education: Individuals possessing the knowledge and abilities listed above are considered to possess the necessary education Experience: One (1) year of recent paid experience in cooking and baking in large quantities in an institutional-type setting The following must be submitted with your online application for interview consideration:
