Neurology Nurse Practitioner

Full Time Jersey City / Hudson County, NJ 10 minutes from NYC Our expanding Neurology practice is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to join a collaborative, patient-centered team supporting one physician across Jersey City and the greater Hudson County region. With increasing patient volume, this role is ideal for an APN who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate neurological care. You ll play a key role in direct patient management, treatment planning, symptom management, and care coordination for a diverse patient population.

About the Opportunity

• Team: One (1) provider and Four (4) support staff
• Location: 2 Journal Square, Jersey City
• Work schedule: 9:00am - 5:00pm or 7:30am - 3:30pm

What your day will look like

• Provide comprehensive clinical care to neurology patients under physician collaboration.
• Identifies clinical problems in care of specialty and proposes solutions and/or a plan to address
  the issue.
• Utilizes assessment techniques based on current research and knowledge.
• Determines and prioritizes patient care needs. Diagnoses are determined and prioritized from the
  assessment data using appropriate complex clinical reasoning.
• Performs or implements interventions and treatments with knowledge of health care research findings and reflecting a scientific basis and theory.
• Perform peer-to-peer appeals with insurance company. Complete immigration documents. Order, perform and interpret laboratory tests. Order EEG's. You will order and interpret any
  tests necessary for medical evaluation. Examples include CBC, cat scans, nuclear scans, MRI, venous Doppler studies, EKG and Echo as appropriate.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to practice growth.

Qualifications

• Master s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current New Jersey APN license and RN license in good standing
• National certification as an Adult-Gerontology NP, Family NP, or Acute Care NP
• Neurology experience strongly preferred; new graduates with strong neurology rotations may be considered
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS & ACLS certification

Englewood Health offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, comprehensive benefits package, and other incentive programs for our employees. The rate shown reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position; actual pay will depend on several factors, including educational background, skills, and professional experience.
Pay Range: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour
