Internal Medicine Physician – Independent Practice Track (MedCBO Supported) Job Type: Independent Practice Opportunity Overview Physicians have the opportunity to establish or transition into an independently operated medical practice supported by MedCBO’s administrative infrastructure. Physicians own and operate their practice entity, while MedCBO provides non‑clinical business and operational support. This is not an employed physician position. Physicians govern clinical operations, clinical decisions, and patient‑care policies; MedCBO does not direct patient care. Opportunities Start a new private practice Transition from employment to ownership Convert an existing practice to a supported model Relocate and establish a practice in a new market Physician Responsibilities Provide care within the physician’s specialty scope Develop professional relationships within the medical community Coordinate payer credentialing with MedCBO as required Determine clinical services offered Manage clinical quality and patient experience Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination Billing and collections management Payer contract negotiation Financial infrastructure and reporting Operational workflows and staffing systems Technology platform and implementation Requirements MD or DO with an unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice Board Certified or Board Eligible in an appropriate specialty Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions preventing independent practice Interest in the independent practice model Preferred Desire for practice ownership Community‑based care interest Leadership or program development interest Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure. Compensation Compensation is not a salary and is generated by the physician‑owned practice.
