Production Engineer - Chemical Manufacturing - Continuous Process
West Bank, south of Baton Rouge, LA | Full-time, onsite

Targeting $110,000-$135,000 base, depending on experience

About the opportunity
We're partnered with a growing global specialty chemical manufacturer to hire a Production Engineer at its Louisiana plant. You'll own the technical side of a polymer production unit, with real ownership, visibility, and room to grow.

What you'll do

• Take ownership of how your unit runs, from safety and quality to reliability and cost
• Lead process safety work, including MOCs, hazard reviews, and incident investigations
• Dig into operating data to solve process and equipment problems at the root
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality on improvement projects
• Build procedures and training, and help develop newer engineers

What we're looking for

• Must Have : Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (required).
• 4+ years of production experience
• Several years of hands-on experience in a chemical, polymer, or continuous process manufacturing plant
• Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) programs
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a practical, mechanical mindset
• Comfortable working across teams on the plant floor

Nice to have

• DCS and SAP experience
• Lean or Six Sigma background
