Job Title

PCU / Surgical Stepdown – Registered Nurse (Travel)

Location

Shawnee Mission, KS | PCU / Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Surgical Stepdown unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and assess patients requiring an intermediate level of care between ICU and general medical-surgical floors
• Float to Medical-Surgical / Telemetry units as needed based on staffing and patient census
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with facility protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas or a compact state license
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in a PCU, Stepdown, IMC, or similar intermediate care setting
• Ability and willingness to float to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
• Familiarity with surgical stepdown patient populations
